Tom Gilland: Art Director, Graphic Designer - Gilland Graphx

Tom Gilland works with entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses using visual communication to help bring their ideas to life and add value to their companies.

Married since 1993, Tom has two daughters and a recently added puppy (or Tasmanian devil – test are inconclusive), and has been involved with ICKC since 2009.

Having worked in product development and as an in-house graphic designer, Tom has extensive experience in how a product evolves from its early development, through its marketing promotion and packaging stages before hitting the store shelves.

Creative projects include logo and business identity design, sell-sheets, publication and advertising design, packaging design, website creation and Flash animation. Some current clients include the Park University International Education and Study Abroad departments, Futurallia KC 2011, Faultless Inventors., Intermark 3, Inventors Club of Kansas City, R2FACT Inc., IBNews, as well as several local entrepreneurs.

Before making a post-September 11 career-shift into graphic design, Tom worked in the airline industry as a supervisor of flight control and as aircraft dispatcher for 3 different airlines from 1990-2002.
